DP names Jon Matt Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Diamond Pro is excited to announce the addition of Jon Matt as our Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for our travel teams. 

Jon is the CFO and head sports performance trainer at PCX Sports Performance in Webster. Jon graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School in 2002 and St. Bonaventure University in 2007 with a Masters in Business Administration. After working in the business world for 3 years, Jon worked at Powercore Athletics for a year and a half before opening PCX Sports Performance.

Jon played baseball and basketball for McQuaid. He won a sectional title in basketball in 2002 and also two more in baseball in 2001                                                              and 2002. In baseball Jon was Section V tournament MVP in 2002, also earning 3rd team all-state honors that year. Jon went on to                                                                 play baseball at St. Bonaventure for 2 years before a knee injury plagued his career.

                                                        Jon holds a certification from FiTour as a personal trainer and has been certified as a Functional Strength Coach. He is also currently                                                            the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at McQuaid High School, and the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Nazareth College                                                            Men’s Basketball team.
